## Why we're doing this

We want the real stuff. The pain you carry into every sprint. The workarounds nobody writes down. What the job would look like if the tools actually kept up.

Most research irons all of that out. We won't. We want to know what's broken, what's working, and what you'd change tomorrow. That's the only version worth reading.

Propane builds tools for PMs. This research is independent. Your answers are anonymized and used only for the State of the Agentic PM 2026 publication.

### What is the State of the Agentic PM?

A research report on how the PM role is changing right now. We talk to PMs, find the patterns, and publish what we learn.

### How does the interview work?

5-10 minutes with our AI. Not a form. You talk, it listens, it asks follow-ups. You can pause, skip, or stop anytime.

### Who can participate?

Anyone building products. PMs, designers, engineers, founders. You don't need to be using agents yet.

### What will I be asked?

The tools you use, what's frustrating, and what you actually want the job to look like. No right answers.

### What happens to my answers?

Anonymized and aggregated. Nothing is tied to your name. If you checked "send me the report," we'll email you when it's out.

### Is my time worth it?

Yes. Building in 2026 is hard. We know that. But some people have it a lot worse than us. Your 5-10 minutes goes to people who need it most and comes back as better tools for the work. Worst case you had a decent conversation about your job.

### Is participation free?

Yes. Propane covers the $10 donation. All we ask is that you share it. The more people participate, the more we give.
